The practical terms that apply when you use this website or book a Career VITALS assessment.

Acceptance of these terms
By using this website or booking Career VITALS, you agree to these terms. If the assessment is for a child, the parent, guardian or other competent person arranging the service is responsible for agreeing to the terms and supporting the child’s participation where required.
The Career VITALS service
Career VITALS is a focused psychometric career-assessment service. It includes an intake or context-setting process, selected psychometric assessment, professional interpretation, a personalised report and a feedback session with Lené van Niekerk.
The exact assessment process, timing, format and any prerequisites will be confirmed before the service begins.
Bookings, fees and changes
Current fees, payment arrangements, appointment details and any cancellation or rescheduling terms will be provided during booking. A booking is confirmed only when the stated booking requirements have been met.
If circumstances outside reasonable control require a change, MindYou Careers will contact you and make a reasonable effort to reschedule or agree an appropriate alternative.
Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate and relevant information, follow assessment instructions, complete assessments honestly and independently, and use a suitable environment and device where the process is online.
You must not copy, interfere with, reverse engineer, distribute or misuse assessment materials, scoring methods or protected content.
Professional scope
Career VITALS is not career coaching, psychotherapy, medical treatment, legal advice or a guarantee of admission, employment or career success. The service supports understanding and informed discussion; it does not make education, employment or life decisions for you.
Reports and permitted use
A Career VITALS report is prepared for the assessed person and the agreed purpose. It may be kept for personal reference and shared with a parent, educator or adviser when appropriate and authorised.
The report must not be altered, presented out of context, sold, published or used to make an unrelated high-stakes decision without Lené’s written permission and, where required, the assessed person’s valid consent.
Privacy and service providers
Personal information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. MindYou Careers may use carefully selected assessment and technology providers to deliver parts of the service; their own terms may also apply to the relevant platform or tool.
No guaranteed outcome
Psychometric results are one source of information and reflect the responses and context available at the time. To the extent permitted by South African law, MindYou Careers is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss caused by using a report outside its intended purpose or ignoring professional feedback.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
