BEFORE YOUR ASSESSMENT
Assessment disclaimer
What Career VITALS can clarify, what it cannot decide, and how to use the results responsibly.
Last updated: 29 August 2026
Purpose of the assessment
Career VITALS uses psychometric information to help a person better understand relevant strengths, interests, preferences and possible directions. It is designed to support thoughtful education and career conversations, not to prescribe a single future.
What the results mean
Results reflect the assessment tools used, the person’s responses and the context available at the time. They are an informed snapshot rather than a permanent label, complete description of a person or definitive prediction of future performance.
Decisions remain yours
No assessment should make a subject, study, employment or career decision on its own. The report should be considered alongside personal circumstances, values, opportunities, academic information, practical constraints and other relevant advice.
Feedback is part of the process
Scores can be misunderstood when read without context. The feedback session with Lené is an important part of Career VITALS because it explains the findings, limitations and possible next steps in relation to the person’s circumstances.
Not diagnosis or treatment
Career VITALS is not psychotherapy, counselling, medical care or a diagnostic mental-health assessment. It does not replace support from a psychologist, doctor, counsellor, educator, legal adviser or another suitably qualified professional when that support is needed.
No guaranteed outcome
The assessment cannot guarantee admission to a school or programme, academic results, employment, promotion, income, workplace satisfaction or success in a particular field. Opportunities and outcomes depend on many factors beyond an assessment report.
Learners, parents and confidentiality
For a learner, parent or guardian involvement will be agreed at an appropriate level. The process should support the learner rather than impose a direction. Results will be handled with care, and sharing will be limited to what is appropriate, authorised and legally permitted.
Using and sharing the report
The report is prepared for the assessed person and the agreed career-guidance purpose. Anyone who receives it should read it in context, protect its confidentiality and avoid using it as the sole basis for selection, exclusion or another unrelated high-stakes decision.
When other support is needed
If the assessment or conversation raises concerns about wellbeing, safety, learning needs or mental health, seek help from an appropriately qualified professional or emergency service. Career VITALS is not an emergency or crisis service.
